It has been said that doubt is the enemy of faith. I believe there are some honest doubters who sincerely don’t believe, not because they don’t want to believe but because they look at what seems to be anomalies in the Bible and they doubt because of the many contradictory lifestyles of professing Christians.
Honest doubters, when faced with the truth and facts of the Christian message, become the most dynamic witnesses of the Faith. Honest doubt may be a strong catalyst to positive faith.
We, as believers, should allow our doubts to drive us back into Scripture to rekindle our faith. A convinced faith shatters doubt.
John 20:29 - Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
Prayer: Lord, how can I ever doubt Your assurance of forgiveness. My Faith in You neutralises the seeds of doubt. Thank You Lord, my Saviour and Redeemer.
