The supply of time is a daily miracle. Every morning when we wake up we are blessed with the unmanufactured commodity called time. When the 24 hour day ends we cannot “get it back.” The sands of time are running out and we need to be wiser and more diligent in terms of using this most precious commodity. The Bible speaks of “redeeming time.” How do we redeem time? By using it prudently with due diligence. Don’t waste time on trivial issues that do not count in the analysis of progress. It’s part of human nature to gravitate to a life of ease, but to waste our lives on doing nothing is a sin against ourselves, our God and our family and friends. Keep busy. By all means rest and take time out, but ensure that your day involves some activity or objective. Don’t ask what can my God and church do for me, but rather what can I do for my God and my church. You are greatly loved and because of our love for you and the Lord we need to motivate one another to fulfil God’s purpose for saving and calling us to service. One of the greatest things in life is not so much where you live or where you stand but in what direction you are going. So make your life count.
