It has been said that when war is declared, truth is its first casualty. Modern life with its high level of crime and corruption in high places threaten to undermine truth. Everything you were taught to be right is being paraded as a taboo, an outdated old fashion ideal. Our children are confused as to how to live because we, as parents and grandparents, are in doubt as to what is right. Some folks are so tired and exhausted by the ongoing onslaught of modern fads that they have given up on discipline and correct conduct. The war on family values and the Christian lifestyle seems to be the devil’s target. If he can destroy a family and create a dysfunctional society then he wins and we lose. This is precisely what is happening today. Absent dads and apathetic moms foster a spirit of discontentment and detachment in their children. Every bad adult was once a vulnerable child seeking love and acceptance. Jesus Christ is the Truth and therefore the enemy of our souls will seek to destroy our confidence and faith in the one who said “I am the way, truth and life. No one can come to the Father but through me.” Without Christ as our personal Saviour we perpetuate the lie propagated by the mass media and humanism.
The devil is the father of lies and as the god of this world he keeps desperate people away from the Truth. He has declared war against you, your God, your church and your beloved family. Don’t let him succeed. Don’t give in to the world’s way. Resist the humanistic message that we are the masters of our own destiny and make the Lord the sole master of your destiny. Promote the Truth through your confession, conduct and courage.
The Truth will set you free.
