Every person needs three homes; a family home, a church home and an eternal home in heaven. I’ve been into some of the poorest homes on earth and a sense of hopelessness fills your soul as you enter a room of “nothingness” that people call “home.”
A tiny, clean, humble home or a large, elegant, opulent home is meant to be a place of safety and privacy for those who reside in it.
St Davids is your spiritual home. This is where you find solace and shelter from the harshness of life. You can help us by being caring and loving to everyone who enters our church. God guarantees an eternal home to those who have trusted in our Lord’s atoning sacrifice for their sins. He has given us life that we may know that we have life and it more abundantly.
Every family home should have a special place for an open Bible. Every church should have a kneeling rail for sinners to repent. (In a bygone era every church had a mourners kneeling rail). Every person needs the assurance of a home in heaven.
Why not speak to someone this week and share with them the need to know the “3 Home Truth,” and then invite them to church next Sunday, praying that they will make St Davids their spiritual home.
